Pixelation:
When your pictures breaks up into little squares and the sound cuts in and
out often with loud squeaks.
This is often due too low or too high an aerial signal. This can be brought
about by a badly chosen aerial booster, poor quality antenna system parts
and/or a faulty TV or Digital Box. Don't dismay, we at TVS R US can get
right to the heart of the problem. Give us a call and we will give you the
support you need. Often a Quote/Service is required.
|
Horizontal/Vertical hold:
This is often electronic breakdown and will slowly increase until the
picture becomes only a bright horizontal line. Common problem with the old
CRT (box-type) TVs and needs to be rectified by a repairer like TVS R US
before the damage goes beyond a few small electronic parts. This problem
can also occur in the vertical orientation also.
|
Outside interferences:
Often if we live close to the city, boating arenas or communications towers
some of the UHF transmitters that businesses use will give out bursts of
interference. UHF is still used but rarely and has been found to cut
Digital reception in and out. Analog reception will show white bands of
interference that attack your screen from time to time. The best you can try
to do is a relocation of your antenna, but it is fidely. Ask around your
local community, someone is bound to have the same problem as you if indeed
it is coming from a local UHF transmitter.
|
Noise interference:
This is often due to poor choice of antenna booster. You often need
professional help from TVS R US to rectify this problem.
|
Digital band interference:
TVS R US can point you in the right direction to get a VHF/FM Filter to
solve this one.
|
VTR / TV Button:
Some of the older VCRs only have this problem. Sometimes the VCR model you
have may simply need to be switched off. Alternatively you can hit the VTR
/ TV button and this will have the same effect. If you are recording and
the VCR doesn't have this VTR / TV button then you may need a splitter
installed to feed the VCR and TV from your antenna.
|
No Modulator in VCR:
If this is the case then you will only have the option to use the AV OUT
to connect to your television. If your TV doesn't have AV INPUTS then it's possibly time
to upgrade! Check a TV from our products range!
|
Do the big check around:
If you have an amplifier / Booster on your antenna then there is more than
likely a Power Pack plugged in either up in the roof space, or on an Antenna
Point somewhere in your dwelling. Either make sure there is one, or make
sure that if there is then it is plugged in correctly. The Power Pack
needs to be servicable and is often point specific, so try it in all the
points of the house until you get some action!

|
This is due to dust getting in your Plasma screen. Hard to solve, best to enquire with the manufacturer.
